SALT (Service and Leadership Training) & LITE (Leader in Training Experience)
SALT and LITE are leadership development programs at Woodlands designed for students ages 14–18 who are passionate about living for God and ready to take their relationship with Jesus and leadership skills to the next level.
Participants in both SALT and LITE have the unique opportunity to serve alongside summer and full-time staff for multiple weeks. Each program includes dedicated male and female counselors who intentionally invest in campers through in-depth discipleship, hands-on service, and daily responsibilities. Through this experience, campers learn what it means to fully follow God while developing the heart and skills of a servant leader.
In just the past two summers, nearly 100 Woodlands summer staff positions were filled by college students who previously participated in SALT as high schoolers. Serving in SALT and/or LITE equips students to become high-caliber leaders—leaders that Woodlands Camp and many other organizations actively seek.
